Catching up on my summer

JUNE 2009
I can honestly say I did nothing today. No I lied. I drove from CR to Waterloo, dyed my hair 2x (nice shade of Pinkish purple), annoyed my cat, had dinner with friends, went to Walgreen's and finished he day with watching a movie. I know but really did I accomplish ANYTHING? NO.

I have been spending a lot of time with ex-boyfriends as of late. I have learned that I made good decisions in the past, and though those men are nice guys (for the most part), I am better off without them. I have learned that there is nothing wrong with liking yourself.

I also have lost a dear friend in the last month. Meaning- I don't know where she is. I have a theory that she might be dead or strung out in a crack house - either way, it isn't looking so good for a happy reunion. And the saddest part is that I miss who she was, not who she is.

I am drawing again, and perhaps painting if I get up the will. I feel it is in bad taste to paint when I should be cleaning my apartment. I did draw a beautiful picture for a close friend's child yesterday (and if my camera wasn't broken I would have a picture for you).

JULY -
I started crocheting a queen sized blanket. I took almost 2 months...but i finished it.

I watched all of the Series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

AUGUST -

Finished the blanket. I spent a good part of August hanging out with my sister who is home for the month from Barbados. I love when she is back.
I read the whole Twilight Series in 4 days. Good story, Bad writing.

Aug 16, 2009.

I head back to school tomorrow...another year. Who knows this might be the beginning of the rest of my life. I have no real objection to going to work. It isn't my favorite thing to do but it isn't the worst. I mostly object to 7:30 AM. I object to getting up every morning. Well i am going to enjoy the best part of the rest of my day.

Spring is here and the sun is shining. Another long day in a series of long daze. I woke this morning wishing that it was summer because it is a crime to be inside on a day such as this. We, the teachers/students, as a collective whole are waiting with baited breath for June. We wish we could skip these last weeks of the school year and opt for a warmer weather and the option to sleep in.

TV 2009

MUST SEES

1) Castle - If it makes it past the first year, which it should, it will be a hit. Funny, whimsical and who doesn't love Nathan Falian?
2)
LOST If you can keep up with the odd story it is amazing. If you don't like to be confused... don't watch.

3) Bones - The show gets more and more cleaver each year. AND who doesn't want to look at that cast...they are all so beautiful.

4) Buffy the Vampire Slayer - catch them in repeats if you haven't see them before, they are a bit out there (pun intended) but well worth the time.

5) House - Even with the recently departed (from the show - NOT from life) Kal Penn, it is terrific writing and incredible acting.

6) Big Bang Theory - If you can handle big words and you want something intelligent to watch, this would be it.

7)Heroes - This show gets odder and odder each year but still keeps up the question, "what would we as a people do, if we knew there were people with superpowers?"

8) Make Me a Super Model - Okay a bit self indulgent but it has some really cool art and costumes in it. OH and everyone is pretty.

9) Doll House - Joss Weadon has done it again. Doll House is cleaver, action packed and creavtive. I think if it can survive it's time slot it could be big.

10) Reaper - CB has a wicked sense of humor. This show is about the

Dark Cloud Revised

So I have decided the universe thinks I am it's whipping post. I know my sister would just laugh at said statement but the fact of the matter is.....I woke up this morning and my damn laptop has no picture. Mind you last week the wireless went out on it, now no picture. I am going to try hooking it up to my desk top monitor later, perhaps with some hope to get information off the damn thing. More over I really just wanted to check my facebook and I couldn't. I know, boo-hoo. I can say that using my desk top is a royal pain currently because I have to take and rehook up the cable to it, which is currently hooked into the stupid laptop that does not work.

AND my car. Well it is making this noise. A kind of a thumping which is perhaps from a loose belt or perhaps from a flat tire, both of which have not been proven. And the sick part is I can't really ask for help money wise cause my mom just bought this kick-ass ticket so I can go to Barbados over spring break (this part does not suck, in fact it is the only thing from me and complete melt down.)

OKAY, so I have vented. And I will go home and something will be figured out on the computer front. And I know the car will get figured out too. I am just frusterated.

THE TV

Okay, it has been a week and this is what my leg looks like (see pictures). This is what happens when you are trying to talk on the phone with the cable company and they want you to look behind the TV. In the process you have to turn said TV and the TV stand catches just a little on the carpet...and in ssssssslllllllllllooooooooowwwwwww motion the TV falls. And I can be quite quick when I need to be but I wasn't quick enough and the TV skidded off my shin and landed on the floor. The leg is a bit darker in person, and hurts like hell....but if you think it looks bad you should see what it did to the TV.

The score is:
Leg 1 TV 0

Bacon

OKAY it does exists, thus proving without a shadow of a doubt that we, AMERICANs, are the fattest people on earth. Only in America would we take BACON and make it into a lip balm. I mean, really?

One could ask the question next, BIG MAC LIP BALM?? French fry balm? Are we so in need of fating food that we even need our chap stick to taste like that.

OH the plus side, this product is a sign that anything is possible with BACON!

Back in the Saddle Again

After having two sweet ass weeks off from work, I am back to it today. I think the gods were smiling down on me because they gave me a late start day. It was just that little bit of extra sleep that made me happy. Tomorrow back to getting up before the sun.
Well I had a good time with Anne and Jack over the christmas break. We did a lot of running about and it seemed like WAY more than 2 weeks. There was some late night gaming (god i love playing wit both of them). AND there was a ton of food. Anne learned the hard way that pork fat is good but not after six months of not having it. Poor girl was sick all day on Christmas (or has she calls it Crimma).
Otherwise, Matt and Kirstin were Matt and Kirstin. Mom is Mom. And i am happy to be back in my bed but sad that I have to be back at work. Sad that I have to be an adult again. And sad that Grand Masta Funk went back to Baja.
